Metlife Stadium Design

Our goal was simple: design the ultimate NFL experience. What we created was a state-of-the-art, fan-centric facility providing an interactive and immersive sports environment like nowhere else in the world.

MetLife Stadium is the only NFL facility to house two archrivals: the New York Giants and the New York Jets. To accomplish this there could be no comprise. The stadium had to feel like home field for both teams.

Our work began by injecting the fan into the centre of our story, choreographing their journey from parking lot to final play.

By pioneering innovative environmental experiences as well as physical programmatic elements we were able to elevate the fan experience while creating unprecedented brand sponsorship value.

Cornerstone sponsors would receive a private premium bar underneath one of the four corner scoreboards, as well as branded upper and lower concourse bars, and a spectacular brand element visible from the exterior of the building.

We designed flexible systems to transform the physical space from Jets’ green to Giants blue and back again, creating two distinct “home field” environments.

In 2010, MetLife Stadium was the most sought-after brand in sports entertainment real estate and served as the blueprint for all major stadium designs that followed for the next decade.
